Year 5 Get Creative! 

Year 5 were very excited to get involved in the community artwork with Hedge End Town Council and have enjoyed contributing to this display board for the Bandstand to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.  We particularly liked learning about where the Queen travelled on her Commonwealth tour, her ground breaking "walkabouts", her family and the fashion during the 1970's.  We all agreed she wore some beautiful outfits and hats in lovely bright colours and she looked stunning in her full refinery for her Silver Jubilee.  We are looking forward to seeing how she dresses for the Platinum Jubilee.  In preparation for the Platinum Jubilee, we have been learning The National Anthem; please click on the link below to hear some of Year 5 singing the first verse, accompanied by one of our Year 6 pupils on the keyboard.
